Complaints Policy

Grassroots Media and its publications are committed to producing fair, accurate and independent journalism and welcome feedback from our readers.

If you believe we have published material that is inaccurate, unfair, misleading, breaches privacy, contains inappropriate content, or does not meet our editorial standards, we encourage you to let us know.

How to make a complaint

Complaints must be submitted in writing by email to: contactus@grassrootsmedia.com.au

Please include:

• your name and contact details;

• details of the publication, article or content you are complaining about;

• the date it was published (if known); and

• a brief explanation of your concerns.
  

What happens next

We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to provide a written response within 14 days of receiving it.

We will consider all material complaints carefully and fairly. Where we find that an error has been made or our editorial standards have not been met, we will take appropriate action. This may include:

• publishing a correction or clarification;

• updating or removing online content where appropriate;

• providing a right of reply where appropriate; or

• taking other reasonable steps to remedy the issue.

We are a member of the Australian Press Council via our membership of the Local & Independent News Association.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of our internal complaints process, you may refer your complaint to the Australian Press Council for independent consideration.
